Press release on the fourth quarter and full-year 2011 results for the Total Group, published 10 February 2012. More

Paris, February 2, 2012: Total, operator of the Hild license, launches the development of this field located in the Norwegian North Sea. This development will represent an investment of US$4.2 billion (NOK 25.6 billion) and is subject to the approval of the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy and Norwegian Parliament (Storting). Total holds a 51 % interest together with its partners Petoro (30 %) and Statoil (19 %). Hild’s reserves amount to approximately 190 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe). Production is expected to start end of 2016 and will reach 100,000 boe per day at peak. More

Today, 4 November, the Plan for development and operation (PDO) of the TOTAL-operated Atla subsea development was approved by the King’s council in Norway. More

TOTAL E&P NORGE AS and Statoil have signed a sales and purchase agreement. TOTAL acquires 2% in Hild (production licences PL040, PL043 and PL043BS). In exchange TOTAL sells its full 2.5% share in the Valemon unit (5% in PL193B and carve-out of PL193) to Statoil. More

TOTAL E&P NORGE AS, operator of production licence 127, has completed drilling wildcat well 6607/12-2 S. The well proved gas and oil, according to Exploration drilling results from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD). More

TOTAL E&P NORGE AS, operator of production licence 535, has completed the drilling of wildcat well 7225/3-1. The well, which proved gas, was drilled in the Barents Sea, about 250 kilometres north of Melkøya, according to a press release from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate. More

Today, Thursday 7 July 2011, the operator TOTAL E&P NORGE AS submitted plan for development and operation (PDO) for the gas and condensate discovery Atla, located in the central part of the North Sea, to the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. More

On Friday, 1 July, Minister of Petroleum and Energy Ola Borten Moe was flown by helicopter from Hammerfest to West Phoenix, which is currently drilling the Norvarg prospect in the Barents Sea. The rig is situated about 300 km northeast of Hammerfest. More

TOTAL extended its sponsor agreement with the Petroleum Museum in June 2011. Three million Norwegian kroner will be distributed over a period of ten years. TOTAL has been an important partner since the museum was built in 1997. More

The Songa Delta rig will soon be sailing north to PL 127 in the Norwegian Sea to drill an exploration well. More

The christening of the Norwegian Sea Rescue’s (Redningsselskapet) new rescue vessel took place in Kragerø on Saturday, 18 June. The labour union for offshore employees at Frigg, EANOF, was present, and Deputy Managing Director Gunnar Syslak, represented TOTAL. More
