The first LedaFlow products, commercialised by Kongsberg, have entered the market following an exhaustive validation period carried out by TOTAL E&P Norway using actual field data. A first full set of products has already been sold to Petrobras.
LedaFlow is a multiphase flow simulator which, due to an advanced set of physical equations, will be more accurate than its competitors, particularly in the design of long gas pipelines with small liquid content.
TOTAL is known for its strong experience in extensive gas tie-backs where multiphase fluids are transported over very long distances, such as the South Pars project in Iran. With its 110 kilometres of pipelines, this was the longest gas tie-back at that time.
TOTAL continues to work hard to extend the limits of multiphase transport, particularly for development of projects North West of Australia where the length of tie-backs will reach 800 km.
