We participate in joint industry projects and collaborate with Norwegian universities and research institutions including SINTEF and the International Research Institute of Stavanger (IRIS).
Our areas of priority are:
Subsurface technologies
• Field and reservoir monitoring
• Reservoir characterisation
• CO2 injection
Drilling technologies
• Development of equipment and fluids (fracturing – completion) for high pressure/high temperature drilling
• Integrated operations
• Subsea telecommunications and transmissions systems
Production technologies
• Development of new generation multiphase transport tools,
• Modelling of complex fluids (oils with naphtenates, hydrates, waxes)
• Technologies for subsea processing (multiphase pumps, subsea compressors, multiphase metering)
• Compact dehydration, which could be implemented on the seabed
• Modelling of corrosion and mitigation measures
• Gas dispersion and flame simulation
Environment
• Risk assessment
• Biomonitoring in deep/cold areas
• Arctic adaptation of all methods developed for risk environment and monitoring.
Arctic
• Development of engineering tools for arctic areas
• Development of new materials for cold conditions
• Personal protective equipment for workers in cold areas
