45 years in Norway, and headed towards more exciting tasks

The past made us who we are, and we have gained experience from a triple merger and the entire lifetime of the Frigg field. Since then, we have positioned ourselves well, and strengthened our presence from north to south on the Norwegian continental shelf.

The merger of Total, Fina and Elf in 1999 made the company one of the biggest and strongest players on the Norwegian continental shelf, and the largest owner of Ekofisk.

Our recent history has been characterised by the objective of returning to being an operator, which is now being realised through Hild, Atla and Norvarg. You can read more about this in Our activities
