High-Quality, High-Performance Products
A company that has been cultivating excellence and boldness for more than 30 years, SunPower has invested in innovation, filing more than 600 patents. Today, its teams are making solar panels that convert 24.1% of solar energy to power, compared with around 17% for standard technology, making them the most efficient in the world. What’s more, SunPower has developed a robotic solar panel cleaning system to maintain optimum performance. This system is quicker and more efficient than traditional methods: it uses 75%1 less water and operates at night to maintain total panel efficiency during the day. Finally, SunPower® has some of the most reliable products on the market: the efficiency of its solar cells remains practically constant over 25 years of operation.
As a result, SunPower® panel users produce more electricity and emit 40% less greenhouse gas than standard2 panel users. This energy efficiency and environmental performance has earned the entire range of SunPower® panels the Total Ecosolutions3 label and a Cradle to Cradle™4 Silver certification. This demonstrates SunPower’s high level of environmental excellence, from the design to the production or reuse of its products. Indeed, SunPower’s Cradle to Cradle Silver panels have been named Environmental Leader Product of the Year 20165.
